Today was
High Desert Roundup. This is an event near Barstow put on by the
California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs Inc (CA4WDC) of which our
Lost KJ West club is a member. It is a 3 day event, but we could only go out on Saturday for the main trail run. We had other commitments Saturday evening. The run we joined was the Devil's Loop run.
There were over 75 vehicles on this run!
The trail was mostly desert dirt and rocks. At one point I high-centered our jeep on some rocks.
I had to get a tug from the strap to get over the rocks. No damage occured since we have full skid plates and boulder bars.
The trail was lots of dry washes like this with obstacles consisting of rock squeezes or rocky sections.
It was a very nice day for jeeping, except for the heat! It was over 99 degrees there!
Here are a few of the vehicles on the trail. Ours is the white Liberty.
It was very hot but a great time!
