My Wingo before any flights. Needless to say, it doesn't look this good anymore! |
My First flight with the Wingo |
Some of my Flying Friends. They have Zagi's |
My Wingo and my Friend's Light Stick. This is after several repairs to the wingo. As you can see the Rudder is now blue. I lost the rudder during a steep high-speed dive. I was fortunate enough to land it in a tree so there was little more damage. I replaced the rudder with covered 1/2" white foam board. It works great. This picture also shows the new motor. I'm now using a 6 Volt Speed 400 with a 2.3:1 Gear drive unit and a 9x5 Slimprop. This combination works great! The wingo has lots more grunt.

This is the newly modified Wingo flying at the TRW Parking lot. See the power lines? I haven't hit them yet!

Another in-flight shot at TRW.

My second set of Aerial Photography Shots
These were taken with a Kodak KB-28 Autowinder camera that I got for $35 at Target.
I mount the camera to the front of the wingo with rubber bands and I have a CS-10 Servo that activates the shutter release. This camera flashes for every picture it takes, but that is kind of neat. You can tell when it takes the shot while you are flying the plane. The camera only weighs 5.3 oz.
Looking West. That's my RV in the foreground.

This is my self-portrait. You can see my friend and I near the center of this shot.

Somewhere on the top of that building is a yellow Wingo rudder that I lost a while back.

Looking North. The black building on the left was once in a Star Trek (TOS) episode.

Looking West again.

Looking North West. This is a better shot of the black building that was in the old Star Trek episode.
