I am up in Berkeley this week for work. Last weekend was fun up in Tahoe for my nephew’s high school graduation, but I think I caught something while I was there. I have had a sore throat and cough all week. It is getting worse each day. We brought our bicycles along on this trip in hopes to ride them in Tahoe, Berkeley, and on the way home, and it is looking like that is not going to happen. Bummer.
We have gone to a couple of movies though. The first one was The Break-Up with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. It got 31% on Rotten Tomatoes. I thought it was OK. Funny at times, sad at times. It really shows the problems with a secular relationship that puts sex and living together and selfishness before marriage.
We saw the second movie yesterday. This time it was The Lake House with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. It got a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes. I liked this one too. They do an interesting take on time travel in it. It is definitely a tear jerker/date movie.
Today we head home. Since I still don’t feel well, we will probably just drive straight through to Los Angeles. We were planning to go down Highway 1 along the coast and stop at places to ride our bikes. Oh well. Maybe another time.
