We Cruised!

We Cruised! Over Labor Day weekend, Donna and I and some friends of ours went on a 3 day cruise to Ensenada and back. It was a great time. See all our pictures here. The cruise started out with some sadness because apparently in the morning of the day that we were to depart, there was a terrible accident on the ship and 3 of the crew died and 18 more were injured. We heard that they were working on the waste plumbing deep in the ship and it apparently let out sewer gasses that killed the three workers that were close by. This delayed our boarding and departure of the cruise. We were supposed to leave at 5 PM, but the ship didn’t pull out until well after midnight. It was very sad for the crew but they put on a good cruise in spite of it. The cruise must go on I suppose. Due to the delay and inconvenience for the passengers, they gave each cabin a $150 credit on our account to use during the cruise. That was nice. Our late departure also changed the schedule of the cruise. Normally we would spend Saturday in Ensenada and then have Sunday as a day-at-sea. They swapped the two around and we had Saturday as the day at sea, with Sunday visiting Ensenada.
